Since 1985, I have been treating children with a wide range of foot problems. Over the years, I have been mentored by several experts in pediatric podiatry, which has helped me develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges and solutions in children’s foot health. This experience has shaped my approach to care, blending hands-on expertise with the latest best practices.

Child gait analysis, walking in shoes
The most common pediatric foot problem I encounter is plantar warts, which can be uncomfortable and persistent. In-toeing issues are also prevalent, especially in children aged 2–5, along with posterior heel pain in adolescent boys.
My approach to treatment involves a thorough physical assessment, including gait analysis and a review of medical history. Treatment is tailored to each child’s needs, whether it’s addressing warts, correcting gait, or managing heel pain
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is helping children who struggle with in-toeing, a condition where the feet turn inward, often causing kids to trip when they walk or run. In most cases, with the right interventions, we can remedy the tripping problem. Seeing these children gain confidence and move freely is a highlight of my practice.
Prevention is key to healthy feet. I recommend that parents ensure their children wear the right shoes for their specific foot type or problem. Proper footwear can make a significant difference in comfort and development. Regular foot checks and encouraging active play also help maintain foot health. If you notice persistent pain, frequent tripping, or visible changes in your child’s feet, consult a specialist early.
